NUMRAH SAFDAR

Registered A pharmacist, from Riphah International University. Currently working as a Pharmacist in AMR-containment and IPC project, N.I.H Islamabad. I have utilized my pharmaceutical skills in Maroof international Hospital, Federal government Polyclinic Hospital, and Railway general hospital. I have got project internship experience from Pneumonia and diarrhea project UNICEF, acquired certified training of DHIS-2 (District health Information System). Worked in collaboration with Tib council to update the official monographs.

Designated as a pharmacist in National institute of health, I am working on National action plan for Antimicrobial resistance, designing strategies to revise the activities, and finding ways to implement the action plans. My all activities are aligned with objective 4 of NAP (National action plan), i.e. “Optimize the use of antimicrobial medicines in human and animal health”. I have developed a checklist to engage health care settings in antimicrobial stewardship activities, now formulating national guidelines on antibiotics. My ongoing plan is to develop a dashboard for antimicrobial data records, regarding its inventory, distribution, consumption, and susceptibility profiles. I am engaged in lab assessments across the country, and will be contributing to finalize the PPS (point prevalence surveys) results.
